Grammy-winning jazz luminaries Branford Marsalis and Dianne Reeves come together for this spectacular celebration of the timeless ballads of John Coltrane. This one-night-only concert brings together two towering figures of modern jazz, merging Marsalis' searching, masterful tenor saxophone with Reeves' expressive, soaring vocal range, together with the Branford Marsalis Quartet.
Two NEA Jazz Masters, two Grammy Award Winners, and two of the most important entertainers you could bring together with the formidable Branford Marsalis Quartet. One night. One stage
From his initial recognition as a young jazz lion, saxophonist Branford Marsalis has expanded his vision as an instrumentalist, composer, bandleader, and educator, crossing stylistic boundaries while maintaining an unwavering creative integrity. In the process, he has become an avatar of contemporary artistic excellence, winning three Grammy Awards, and a Tony nomination for his work as a composer on Broadway; a citation by the National Endowment for the Arts as Jazz Master, and a 2021 Primetime EMMY nomination for the score he composed for the Tulsa Burning documentary.
Branford Marsalis’s quartet is one of jazz’s most formidable working bands, a casually virtuosic ensemble whose players take evident delight in each other’s company.
Five-time Grammy winner Dianne Reeves is the world’s pre-eminent jazz vocalist. As a result of her virtuosity, improvisational prowess and unique jazz and R&B stylings, Reeves received the Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Performance for three consecutive recordings — a Grammy first in any vocal category. Featured in George Clooney’s six-time Academy Award-nominated Good Night and Good Luck, Reeves won the Best Jazz Vocal Grammy for the film's soundtrack.
